IT-Exchange project
IT-exchange.org is a self funding not for profit scheme to supply low cost or free IT equipment and services to charities and community organisations.

A fundamental aim of the IT-exchange project is to ensure that access to IT services and equipment are readily available and Seek-it Ltd. supports this aim in various ways.
Collection and preparation of IT equipment
In 2001, Seek-it collected and processed over 20 tons of IT equipment on behalf of It-exchange from schools, colleges, companies and local councils throughout Southern England.

Since January 2001 over 500 computer systems, printers, keyboards, mains leads and mice have been refurbished by us and given to Techknowledgy for distribution within their projects in Africa.

Equipment & component donations
Seek-it has donated over 250 prepared Pentium 100 - 233MMX base units, monitors and printers to the IT-exchange project. Many items have already been distributed to individuals, community projects and organisations such as the Citizens Advice Bureau and the Hampshire Deaf Association.

Use of Seek-it staff & specialist equipment
Seek-it provides specialist equipment and operators to It-exchange.org. This enables It-exchange to offer projects such as office wide PAT testing to community organisations. The Hampshire Deaf Association headquarters & several local Citizens Advice Bureaus have already taken advantage of this service.
